Melissa Clark-Reynolds became a Foresight Practitioner and Professional Director after 25 plus years’ experience as an entrepreneur and CEO of a number of Technology companies. She was awarded the ONZM for Services to Technology in 2015. Melissa is a director of Atkins Ranch Lamb and Alpine Energy, and on the Advisory Board of Flux Federation, with previous roles including deputy chair of Radio NZ, Chair of Little Yellow Bird, and the first independent director on Beef and Lamb NZ.

Melissa works with food companies to execute transformational strategies, through futurecentre.nz. A beekeeper and keen gardener, she tweets as @HoneyBeeGeek.

Ex professional endurance athlete, author, documentary maker & serial entrepreneur, Lisa Tamati is a speaker with a powerful story and life changing messages to share. Lisa is perhaps best known for being the first Kiwi woman to finish the infamous Badwater Ultramarathon which is through the hottest desert on earth, running 217km non-stop through Death Valley. Or you may have heard of Lisa when she ran the length of New Zealand (2250km) for charity.

David has had a successful career in the private and public sector, with senior roles at organisations such as Microsoft, and New Zealand Trade & Enterprise. He has successfully started businesses, been a comedian, TV and radio actor, a talented author and semi-finalist for New Zealander of the Year.

David continues to act as a consultant for government and industry, as well as a director on a number of boards, including as chairman of The Icehouse, the Hi-Tech Trust and the Well Foundation.

David is now CEO of The New Zealand Story, an ambitious organisation marketing New Zealand to the world.

Greg grew up on a family farm near Methven, Mid-Canterbury. After gaining a Bachelor of Agriculture from Massey University and working in the agriculture industry, he and his wife Rachel worked in partnership with Greg’s parents to develop Mangarara Station in Hawke’s Bay. After the birth of their first child in 2000, Greg and Rachel began thinking about their legacy and the world they would be leaving for future generations.

Greg is now committed to being part of the positive change taking place around the world to bring humanity back within the boundaries nature sets for us. He is transitioning the traditional sheep and cattle station to a farm of the future that creates balance by developing diverse, integrated, regenerative farming systems, restoring ecosystems through tree planting, sequestering carbon from the atmosphere and building healthy soil using holistic grazing techniques. The ethos for the farm is “Optimising Life.”

David has 35 years international experience with the food industry including assignments in Japan, the USA, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. His roles have included business development, innovation management, sales, marketing, and general management. David is currently the CEO of Plant & Food Research, a Government owned Science Company with a focus on horticulture, arable crops, seafood and wine. The company has 1000 staff spread over 14 sites in New Zealand and representative offices in Australia and the USA. Prior to joining Plant & Food Research David worked extensively in the Dairy Industry. David has also held a number of governance roles in the public, private, and not for profit sectors. Tim is New Zealand’s 1st qualified B Consultant having successfully completed the training programme run by B Lab ANZ. To date he has helped more than 60 companies from around the world successfully navigate the B Corp Impact Assessment, and is working with new businesses every month to take them through the process.

As well as guiding clients to gain their B Corp certification, he delivers inspirational, motivational, memorable and impactful consulting, training and coaching to individuals and organisations. He helps them achieve meaningful goals in life and work, by tapping into the potential of their purpose fuelled performance.

He also holds a Certificate in Impact Measurement and Management for the SDGs from Duke University and is an Industry Expert and co-teacher of the University of Canterbury MBA Programme “Creating Impact Led Enterprises.”

Greg Macpherson is a Pharmacist, Biotechnologist, Cellular Health Expert and Author. For more than 30 years he has worked at the intersection of technology and the health fields and recently, in the last decade working in the biotechnology sector, specifically focusing on the aging process at a cellular level.

This work led him to discover ways to harness the nine identified, scientific hallmarks of aging, which in the premise of this book helps the reader translate the complex science associated with cellular aging creating a how-to-handbook that addresses the natural aging process and build a functional longevity plan.

Fiona Ryan

Since joining the Ministry of Health in 2019 Fiona has led the Ministry’s work programme to modernise regulation of Therapeutic and Natural Health Products, and the related medicines and medical devices policy portfolio. Fiona has extensive experience in regulatory policy, including leading legalisation and policy implementation in New Zealand and Australia. Fiona spent over 10 years with MBIE working across a range of policy areas including urban and economic development, international trade and regulatory cooperation, standards and consumer protection.

Gary Scattergood

Gary leads William Reed‘s HQ in Asia and is Editor-in-Chief of its food and nutrition titles FoodNavigator-Asia, NutraIngredients-Asia and CosmeticsDesign-Asia, as well as organising a number of high-level food, nutrition and cosmetics conferences, awards and summits. He started his career as a journalist in UK, where he we went on to edit several newspapers and consumer titles, before taking senior leadership roles in business-to-business media and events companies across the food, beverage, cosmetics, fashion, travel and media industries. Gary opened William Reed’s first Asia Pacific office in Singapore in 2016 and has spearheaded the expansion of its editorial, events and commercial operations across the region. Gary has hosted, presented and moderated at conferences and awards shows around the world, and has regularly appeared on TV and radio to discuss the food and nutrition, travel and tourism, and media and marketing industries.

Nick Tuffley

Nick Tuffley was appointed as ASB’s Chief Economist in January 2007, having previously worked at Westpac and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Nick studied at Canterbury University, graduating with a Master of Commerce in Economics.

He and the rest of the Economics team provide regular analysis of economic developments and the outlook through written publications and media comments. Their key objective is to help the bank’s clients make better-informed business and personal finance decisions. The Economics team has won 3 Consensus Economics Forecast Accuracy Awards for their NZ forecasts.
