Sarah Cowley Ross

Passionate about health, wellbeing and performance Sarah Cowley Ross loves to see people thrive.

A New Zealand born Samoan, Sarah fulfilled a long dream of becoming an Olympian in 2012 competing at the London Olympics in the heptathlon. She represented New Zealand at two Commonwealth Games in the heptathlon (2006) and high jump (2014). After a fifteen year international career Sarah retired in 2014 following the World Athletics Continental Cup where she was a member of the Asia Pacific team.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and a Bachelor of Communications. She was a commentator for the Olympic Boradcasting Service for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, is a commentator for Athletics NZ, Chair of the Athlete Leaders Network, board member for Tennis NZ, and a dedicated columnist to the Locker Room. Her most important role is Mum to Max and Poppy.

Dr Ross Walker

Dr Ross Walker is one of Australia’s most respected cardiologists, with 45+ years of clinical experience and a 25-year focus on preventative cardiology. Renowned globally as a keynote speaker, the best-selling author of seven books, with his latest, Health Span, releasing in 2025. Dr Walker is a trusted voice in Australian media, hosting the national radio show Healthy Living on Nine Radio and appearing weekly across 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, and other networks.
Dr Walker runs the Sydney Heart Health Clinic on Sydney’s North Shore, focusing on all aspects of non-invasive & preventative cardiology and holds senior medical roles across leading health organisations: Chief Medical Officer for Access Corporate Group and Miyagi Coach; Chief Cardiologist for Miskawaan Health Group; Medical Director at Barker Henley Global; and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for Kaneka Ubiquinol. Dr Walker also chairs the Gut Foundation of Australia and is Patron of Heart Support Australia.

Rob Waddell

Rob Waddell

Rob Waddell is one of New Zealand"s most accomplished and respected sports figures, known for his achievements both on and off the water. A two-time World Rowing Champion and Olympic gold medallist, Rob’s name is synonymous with excellence in New Zealand sport. His outstanding contributions to sport were recognized when he became the first athlete to win the Sportsperson of the Year Supreme Halberg Award for three consecutive years.

Rob expanded his sporting career to include a pivotal role with Emirates Team New Zealand in three America's Cup campaigns. He was appointed Chef de Mission of the New Zealand Olympic team, for the 2014 Commonwealth Games the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Rob has held governance roles in several not-for-profit organisations, including the Halberg Disability Trust, Te Awa River Trust, and the Home of Cycling Charitable Trust is co-owner and manager of a thoroughbred agistment business, and holds a business degree with honours.

Brianne West is a New Zealand entrepreneur and environmental advocate. She is the founder of Incrediballs, a groundbreaking plastic - free drink concentrate brand, and previously founded and scaled Ethique, a global leader in sustainable beauty, which she sold in 2020 before stepping down as CEO in 2023.

Brianne grew Ethique from a kitchen startup into a multi - million - dollar company operating in over 20 countries, widely recognised as a pioneer in sustainability. After stepping away, Brianne has focused on developing innovative brands that challenge traditional industries and prioritise the planet.

Her achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including EY Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Stuff NZ Women of Influence (Busin ess Enterprise), and recognition as an Obama Foundation Leader.

Michelle has over 15 years experience in Quality and Regulatory roles in the natural health industry. She studied Biotechnology at Massey University and graduated with honours.

Michelle currently runs her own regulatory consultancy Smart Regulatory Solutions. In her current role she provides advice and strategic input for businesses looking to access global export opportunities in food, natural health and personal care products. She brings extensive global regulatory know ledge to the Natural Health Products NZ Board. Michelle sees the range of opportunities and challenges facing New Zealand businesses and is passionate about assisting the continued global growth of the innovative natural products sector.

Gillian Fish

Gillian Fish is a Business Growth Strategist, champion of the natural products industry, author, founder of The 6AM Agency - an award-winning marketing and communications consultancy specialising in health, wellbeing and nutraceuticals. Since 2002, the agency has driven business growth across APAC, Asia and Europe, delivering B2B and B2C success for raw material suppliers and finished brands alike.

A former magazine editor, Gillian is widely recognised as a thought leader in evidence-based wellbeing strategy, marketing and communications. She is the author of Good + Well and Resilience: Body. Mind. Soul, a podcast host, speaker and contributor to global industry platforms.

A founding member of Women In Nutraceuticals and recipient of its 2024 Heroine Award, Gillian advocates for gender and societal equity. Born in apartheid-era South Africa, she remains committed to unlocking potential and leading with purpose.

Samantha, a molecular biologist by training, has over 20 years’ experience in the natural health products, pharmaceutical, medical diagnostic, and biotechnology industries. She was Technical and Process Improvement Manager for Healtheries of New Zealand and an independent consultant to Vitaco Health NZ Ltd and Lifestream International Ltd.

She has also held a variety of roles with the US blue-chip companies Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Diagnostics & Invitrogen Life Technologies.

Stu Horne is currently the Divisional Manager of the Economic Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Having previously worked as a corporate lawyer, Stu joined the Ministry in 1999. He had stints in the Ministry’s Legal Division and its Trade Negotiations Division followed by a posting in Brussels.

Stu also has extensive Pacific experience having served as New Zealand’s Special Coordinator to the Small Island Developing States Conference in 2014, following a posting as Deputy High Commissioner in Samoa. Prior to joining the Economic Division, Stu headed up MFAT’s Middle East and Africa Division.

Stu is married with two children and has a BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Otago.

Jarrod Kerr is Kiwibank’s Chief Economist. Jarrod has a passion for the environment, financial markets, and everything economics. Although born and schooled in New Zealand, he cut his teeth in US, Swiss, and Australian banks, and has spent most of his career overseas. Jarrod started off as an economist at JP Morgan in Sydney. He then moved into financial markets as an interest rate strategist for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, before moving to Credit Suisse in Singapore as Head of Australian and New Zealand fixed income and economic research. After 16 years abroad, Jarrod returned home to the mighty Kiwibank in 2018.

Peter Webb

Peter Webb is a seasoned leader in export certification and trade innovation, with decades of experience working with New Zealand Customs, the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), and Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

In 2004, he founded Independent Verification Services (IVS), guiding the company to become a trusted provider of forestry export certification on behalf of MPI and origin certification for NZ Customs. Under his leadership, IVS was accredited by NZ Customs in 2009 to issue Certificates of Origin under New Zealand’s Free Trade Agreements.

Following the acquisition of IVS’s certification business by TradeWindow in 2019, Peter has continued to drive progress in digital trade. In 2023, he led TradeWindow’s successful accreditation for issuing Australian Certificates of Origin, using a pioneering approval system designed for speed, accuracy, and trust.

Peter is a passionate advocate for innovation in global trade and plays a key advisory role at TradeWindow while serving as Director of IVS Group and TradeWindow Origin.
